The Sinsheimer, Stanley, Hyatt 30th Anniversary Challenge Match
In honor of Shakespeare Santa Cruz's 30th Anniversary, Karen Sinsheimer (founding board president), Audrey Stanley (founding artistic director), and Carolyn Hyatt (former board member) launched the Sinsheimer, Stanley, Hyatt 30th Anniversary Challenge Match. Their combined Challenge gifts and pledges totaled $70,000. UC Santa Cruz Chancellor George Blumenthal added an additional $30,000 from Chancellor's Office funds, raising the total to $100,000. Gifts and pledges to the Challenge were matched dollar for dollar. The Challenge Match ended January 31, 2012.
Thanks to more than 260 donors, the preliminary total is $ 82,272!
These gifts and pledges honor 30 years of talented professionals, on stage and off, and provide foundational and artistic support for the SSC experience: dynamic theatre in a beautiful setting, transforming lives through education and the power of live performances.
