This year’s holiday show is one of the best. “Wind in the Willows” has been performed before, but this year’s version has very creative staging and strong performances from all of the actors, including the kids.

The kids, of course, steal the show when they’re on stage. Who doesn’t love a bunch of moppets hopping around the stage as bunnies with floppy ears? They were adorable.

But they did not outshine, the performances by the adult actors who drive the story. Mike Ryan is his audacious self as The Toad and even shaved his head for the part. Way to take one for the team, Mike!!

The night I attended the play, the audience was filled with kids who were captivated by the play. Kids bring a fresh level of energy to the theater audience. They were all enthralled by the story and laughed throughout the performance.

Be sure to check on “Wind in the Willow” even if you don’t have kids. It will lift your spirits and make your laugh. It’s the perfect holiday treat – without any fattening calories. - Jean
