Auditions for 2012 Season

SSC artistic director, Marco Barricelli, will hold an audition tour during January - February 2012.  SSC will be casting Equity and non-Equity actors for principal and supporting roles, as well as non-Equity acting interns for the ensemble.  SSC operates under an LOA referenced to LORT with Actors' Equity Association.

GENERAL INFORMATION
SSC's audition tour is limited to the West Coast. For interested actors in New York, Chicago, or elsewhere, we request that you submit a DVD audition of two monologues (one should be Shakespeare). Please include your headshot and résumé.  SSC gives equal weight to DVD and in-person auditions.

January 21, 23 & 24 - San Francisco, CA
February 1 - Ashland, OR
February 12, 13, 15, 16 - Los Angeles, CA
March 3 & 4 - Santa Cruz, CA

MORE INFO ABOUT DVD AUDITIONS
DVDs are a viable way of auditioning for all actors, and will be given equal weight as the in-person auditions. Please submit DVDs no later than February 3, 2012.  In lieu of a DVD, if you have an audition video posted to a website, that is also acceptable. Please include any necessary password with your submission.

Please DO NOT submit mini-DVD’s or VHS.

If you wish to verify our receipt of your submission, please include a self-addressed, stamped postcard, which we will return as soon as we get your materials.

To be considered for the 2012 season, you may submit a headshot and résumé -- at least TWO (2) WEEKS prior to your desired audition date -- to the following address:

**Please be sure to indicate your desired audition location along with your submission.

If you are considered appropriate for the available roles in the 2012 season, you will receive a phone call from a casting assistant, usually one to two weeks in advance of the auditions at the location nearest you.

All actors living in Santa Cruz County are guaranteed an audition appointment in Santa Cruz, but you do need to submit a headshot and résumé in a timely manner.

**Note: SSC is a true repertory company, with most cast members performing in two plays.
